This project is experimental, try to follow in the footsteps of pioneers of emerging biomaterial materials in the experimentation and development. Because the acquisition of leather causes cruel persecution of animals and the mainstream processing uses highly toxic substances that cause great harm to workers and the environment. Therefore, the initial goal is to design a fully biodegradable alternative to leather, which is currently not available on the market. After some experiments, I realized, so far, there is still a long way to go to achieve this goal.
The design goal at this stage is therefore to make people aware of the drawbacks of leather so that they no longer consume it blindly. My design elements are mainly derived from animal bleeding which represents the cruelty they are subjected to; the patterns, colours and textures of snakes which, because of their relative rarity, may be more likely to attract the attention of leather consumers.
Although the initial goal is difficult to achieve in a short period of time, I will continuing to work and accomplish on what now seems impossible. Hence,I name the project "Mushsion Possible", which means it's an achievable mushroom mission.
